2004
Melanie为了成立自己的独立公司Red Girl Records费了很大的功夫。没有重要的公司靠山，她的活动都得靠自己的存款，除了她的生意伙伴和经理Nancy Phillips。
2005
在2005年4月，Melanie推出了她的第三张专辑《Beautiful Intentions》（中译《恋爱美人计》）。被选作这张专辑的首张单曲的是Adam Argyle写的《Next Best Superstar》，它在英国，欧洲和澳大利亚同时发行。这只单曲在英国拿到了第10位，并且在德国的Radio Airplay榜上在冠军的位置上停留了好几周。 然后第二单曲《Better Alone》发行，但后来只能从iTunes Store（数位下载）和她的官方网上商店上购买。在2006年时，Melanie在德国，澳大利亚和瑞士还有其他的一些欧洲国家发行单曲《Better Alone》。 这张专辑的第三单曲是《First Day of My Life》，Melanie在之前从没发行过的跟Guy Chambers和Enrique Iglesias一起创作的歌曲。《First Day of My Life》在西班牙，波兰，德国，瑞典，澳大利亚，瑞士和葡萄牙等国家都拿到了冠军这只单曲成为了2005年时在欧洲的最佳单曲之一，但是却由始至终都没有在英国发行。专辑《Beautiful Intentions》在国，瑞士，澳大利亚都过了金销售证明，而在葡萄牙则通过了白金销售量证明（《Beautiful Intentions》在葡萄牙有九周都是冠军的位置）。

Melanie Jayne Chisholm（也被称为Melanie C或是Mel C）是一位英国的创作型歌手，也曾是举世闻名的五人合唱团Spice Girls（辣妹）的其中一名成员，那时她被称呼成Spoty Spice。在Spice Girls解散后单飞，她已经推出过了四张专辑，还曾在全英音乐奖和ECHO（德国的音乐奖）中被提名。
